THE INTERNATIONAL TASKFORCE ON WOMEN AND ICTS (ITF)
11-13 December 2007 Kuala Lumpur; The International Taskforce on Women and ICTs (ITF) in partnership with the UN Global Alliance for ICT and Development (UNGAID) has elected to participate in the GK3 Market of Opportunities. This will be one of the official forums for the duration of the conference. We are accepting applications for interactive presentations, media, or material distribution that will take place in one-hour slots to educate attendees. Our hope is that the Showcase will build awareness of women's contribution in the knowledge society as an important part of the development process.

WOMEN, GENDER, & TECHNOLOGY
A New Book Series from University of Illinois Press Volumes in the Women, Gender, & Technology Series bring together women's studies and technology studies, focusing upo women and technology, feminist perspectives on technology, and/or the gendering of technology and its impact upon gender relations in society. Volumes may be written from multiple perspectives and approaches, reflecting and aimed toward audiences including women's studies, science and technology studies, ethics and technology, cultural studies of science and technology, history of technology, and public policy.

CFP: SURVIVING AS A WOMAN IN SCIENCE
(EuroSciCon - Hertfordshire, UK - November 2, 2007 - Deadline for abstracts: August 10) This one day meeting will bring together women from many different scientific backgrounds and at different stages in their careers, all with inspirational life stories, who are challenging the old order. There will be talks and advice from experts to help with CVs, grant and fellowship writing, interview techniques, time management, networking and a whole host of the other skills required to not just survive but thrive in science.

THE GOOGLE EUROPE ANITA BORG MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP 2008
The aim is to encourage women to excel in computing and technology through the scholarship, and become active role models and leaders. A group of female Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD student finalists will be chosen from the applicant pool. The scholarship recipients, selected from the finalists, will each receive a EUR 5,000 (or equivalent) scholarship for the 2008/2009 academic year.

The SCALE 6X Women In Open Source conference continues last year's work in encouraging women of all ages to participate in the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) community. The WIOS conference will be held on Friday, February 8th, prior to the 6th Annual So Cal Linux Expo.
