Dr. Vlasta Zanchi
Vlasta Zanchi is a Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture at the University of Split in Croatia where she is the Head of the Laboratory of Biomechanics and Automatic Control Systems (LaBACS) and of the Cathedra for Automatic Control Systems. She received her BSc degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Zagreb in Croatia in 1963. In 1974 and 1977 she was awarded MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana. She is currently involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the fields of systems theory, non-linear systems, optimisation, biomechanics, identification as well as estimation and simulation theory. She has been the principal researcher in the Ministry of Science and Technology project Biomechanics of Human Gait, Control and Rehabilitation since 1993. Besides that she is a member of IEEE, CROSSIM, ESB and ESEM.
